Morley Arts Festival is excited to be back hosting family friendly events over 3 days – all outdoor across Morley Town Centre and FREE to all!
Join us this September for a weekend full of live street theatre, pop up dance performances, public art workshops, art installations & family activities.
Whether you fancy joining in the conversation with a roving tea trolley with Tea and Tolerance, or participating in the family fun with Anything Could Happen improvised street theatre. Or why not join the Plastica Gals on their interactive litter pick before creating something spectacular out of the plastic we find, or learning about the heritage of circus with Miss Lily’s Victorian Circus Game.
Listen out for the pop-up buskers we have invited to town or why not join local artists Rachel Savage and The Gallery as you’re invited to get creative with their visual art workshops, ‘Wanderings and Ponderings’ or ‘M is For Mannequins’. Visit Morley Indoor Market Hall and have a go at the interactive art installation Beryl’s Blooming’ Bikes as local artist, Imilia Makes creates a new art installation as a nod to the fabulously famous Beryl Burton!
If you fancy sitting back and relaxing, we will be joined by Phoenix Dance Theatre youth academy and the mermaids from Yorkshire Life Aquatics who will amaze and entertain with their live street performances during the weekend.
There is something for everyone and it’s all FREE! Come along and meet the Festival team who will be located at the festival bus outside Morley Town Hall and pick up a map! We can’t wait to see you there!
