Sort it out
Set up a recycling bag or box in your kitchen. To keep things tidy, keep it inside a cupboard. You can also reuse cardboard wine carriers to store glass to bring to the bottle bank. You could even get your kids to decorate your recycling bag/box to make it look nice and encourage them to use it too!
We’ve made a set of recycling bingo cards that you can use to teach your kids what to put in the recycling bin. Print them out and stick one on the fridge for each person. Then tick off the items as you put them in your recycling bin. At the end of the week give the person with the most items ticked a treat! Download the bingo cards here

Out ‘n’ about
Use our handy map to find a convenient glass bank. When you walk to school or visit the supermarket bring your glass with you and get your kids to put it in the bottle bank. They’ll love the sound of it smashing.
Upcycle
Make a recycled bird feeder to hang in your garden or out a window. We love these tutorials from the National Trust. You can make a bird feeder out of a plastic bottle or cardboard loo roll tube!
