Baby Story Play
Dipping tiny toes into the world of stories, words and sounds, Baby Story Play is a multi-sensory blend of storytelling, puppets, bubbles and music perfect for babies and toddlers.
Early Years Drama
Interactive storytelling is at the heart of our classes for 2-4’s. After each week’s story is told, We follow this with plenty of dramatic play where we guide your children through each story creatively, allowing them to imagine their very own version as they all become the sights, sounds and characters together.
Family Story Play
An engaging blend of our two class formats perfect for siblings, childminders and mixed age groups. In this delightful class, there’s lots of multi-sensory fun for the little ones and opportunities for the big ones to take the lead and add their own creativity and knowledge to the story.

Puddle Ducks Wakefield runs classes in pools across Wakefield, Barnsley, Sheffield, Bradford & South Leeds, and we have just celebrated our 15th year in business!
Our Baby & Pre-School programme (0-4 years) provides a wonderful bonding experience and our progressive lesson plans instil a water confidence and love of swimming. Our highly trained and qualified teachers are experts at identifying children’s levels of ability and adapting activities to the individual, nurturing confidence and encouraging natural ability, all whilst having lots of fun.
Our Baby & Pre-school programme is offered through six levels:
Floaties (0-9 months),
Splashers (6-15 months),
Kickers (15 months to 2.5 years),
Little Dippers (2-5 years) and
Dippers and Dabblers (2-5 years ability related classes)
For older children, whether they have come from a pre-school class or never been in the water before, Swim Academy (4-10 years) will take your child from ‘getting their faces wet’ to being an independent swimmer and who knows, maybe a future Olympic champion.

Come along to Carlton Cricket Club junior cricket sessions for boys & girls from age 5. Sundays 10am-12 noon. Training sessions are free with family membership of the cricket club (£35). Clubhouse open selling refreshments.
We have trampoline lessons for all abilities! Participants are taught the basic shapes and somersaults, and recreational lessons follow the British Gymnastics reward scheme recording achievements with certificates, badges and medals. Children can start riding from 4 years old in the lead rein lesson and as their skills improve they will be able to move onto the next stage of lessons. As they progress they also learn how to canter, jump, play gymkhana games and take part in extra school holiday activities.

The Edge Pool, Leeds University, LS2 9JT
The Hunslet Club delivers a range of activities to children and young people aged from 18 months to 25 years. Regular weekly classes include gymnastics, boxing, football, rugby, dance, hip hop, cheer dance, majorettes, drama, ballet and tap.

Family Art Workshops are creative activity sessions led by artists. Inspired by our programme and our building, activities have included everything from making simple prints, to designing robots, book-making and creating recycled crafts.
These drop-in activities are open to all but are especially suitable for families with children aged 5 – 11. Visitors can stay for as long or as little as they like. Activities are free and no booking is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
