Following last year’s magnificent response we, your local councillors, working with the Garforth & District Lions, will once again be organising and funding a Halloween trail for children and their families in our ward.
It will take place from 5.30pm – 7 pm on Sunday 31st October. It will be the same circular route as last year, which anyone can join at any point, on the following streets in Garforth: Lidgett Lane, Lowther Road, Lowther Grove, Lowther Drive, Grange Avenue and Church Lane. (See attached map.)
The finishing base will once again be outside Tudor Lettings on Main Street, where children can collect their sweet bags and there will be some extra special spooky goings on.
To those who live on the route, Mark will be dropping you a leaflet in the next three days. Thank you for your tremendous efforts in 2020. Your windows, gardens, music and costumes were outstanding. It made Halloween very, very special in such a challenging year. We hope this year will be even better.
We would also be so grateful if people could come out throughout the day and decorate the streets, lampposts, verges etc. And we hope to see even more of you who dressed up and did various scary appearances. Those who did it last year were amazing; zombies emerging from behind hedges and one man who just remained still for hours spring to mind!
