Mindfulmeschool is a place to share and discuss…when things aren’t working.
A space to think, develop self-awareness, move forward and make better decisions.
Mindfulness is noticing the self ….learning about the brain and training it to work in a way that meets your needs and allows you to evolve.
I work with children, adults and progressive businesses…all looking to find new ways of being to feel happier and in control.
My adult work extends to training the brain to think differently when it comes to dealing with difficulty/managing life changing issues/losing a job/navigating an emotional problem etc.
We work with many tools including:
All these tools develop greater mental strength.
My work with children focusses on mood management and brain development making our learning interesting and informative. This work aids our understanding of ourselves. We learn to manage strong emotions, choose appropriate responses and avoiding unhelpful reactionary behaviours e.g lashing out/being destructive.
Mindfulmeschool provides a complete service…starting with:
Here to Help
OWLS – Overcoming Worry, Loss and Sadness – primarily serves children aged 4 to 11 and their families, who are struggling with grief. There is no right or wrong way to grieve and different children will react in different ways
OWLS can help in a number of ways, including offering practical and emotional support, direct 1-2-1 therapy, schools workshops and peer activity days where affected children and their families can get together to share experiences and support each other.
The service is free of charge; OWLS is funded by donations to the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
Self-referral service so parents/carers can access OWLS without a professional referral.
Further detail and referral forms can be found on the OWLS website.

Depression, anxiety or any kind of emotional stress are part of everyday life and can be a real challenge. Sometimes people are able to deal with this by themselves or with the help of family and friends. However, some professional help may be needed and Leeds IAPT can provide this.
Leeds IAPT provides psychological treatments, sometimes called talking treatments, to help people who are stressed, experiencing low mood (depressed) or are very nervous (anxious).
Treatments are delivered across a number of locations across the city, including South Leeds, and can take place as part of a group, online, or on a one to one basis.
To access treatment patients can self refer to the service, this can be done via the website www.leedsiapt.com or by telephone (0113 843 4388). Once an assessment has been completed our clinicians will then speak to patients about treatment options.
IAPT is available to people who are aged 17 or above and registered with a Leeds GP.
Leeds IAPT can help you change the way that you think and feel.
Why not come along to one of one-off workshops or sign up to attending our Stress Control Classes? These sessions focus on the importance of maintaining wellbeing within day to day life, the working environment and beyond.
All our sessions use a CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) model which is commonly used and well researched. CBT encourages you to build an awareness of your own problem and learn coping strategies to reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing.
Attending will also give you an insight into the IAPT service and the other treatments we can provide.
If you would like to find out more or book your place please click on the link below:

You will not need to be assessed beforehand and the relevant information will be collected at the session.
All workshops are delivered in a class environment (up to 40 people) and some interaction will be encouraged however there is no expectation that you must get involved.
