Leeds Young Film Festival is back this Easter holidays at the Carriageworks Theatre. From 1st – 7th April, you can find a whole week’s worth of movies and movie related activity.
The 1st of April is Harry Potter day! Watch the first 3 Harry Potter movies and dress up in your best wizarding outfit. Plus they are launching their very first Movie Club; children can come and see films at the cinema and get a chance to talk about the film they’ve watched after. With a workshop in the Animation Station where they can get hands-on with Lego or plasticine for for a collaborative animation.

2. Stockeld Park Easter Adventure
The egg-straordinary Easter Adventure is back at Stockeld Park from the 1st -16th April!
This Easter the most egg-citing things are happening all around the park! Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the Giant Easter Eggs around the park, which characters can you spot? As you wander around the Enchanted Forest make sure to complete your Easter trail card, you might even be in with a chance of winning a special Stockeld prize!
And don’t forget the new Playhive; a unique, fabulous indoor play centre is now open. One of Europe’s largest and most original indoor play centres!

Celebrate the school holidays at Temple Newsam! With two weeks packed full of trails and family fun crafts across the estate. Find our feathered friends hidden around the house and be sure to explore the brand new Outside In exhibition!
It’s also a wonderful time of year to meet our new arrivals at Home Farm. Come face-to-face with our springtime babies, from little lambs, to piglets, chicks and loads more!

4. Kirkstall Abbey and Abbey House Museum
Bunnies have taken over Abbey House Museum! Join us for a range of fun family activities during the Easter Holidays from 4th-16th April. There will be grocer bunnies weighing carrots, bunny barmaids pulling pints, snow bunnies and some famous faces like Peter Rabbit. Join us for a bunny counting competition, our usual range of fun trails and scavenger hunts, and a range of crafts in our Education Room.
Bring along the whole family for a baa-rilliant Easter Holiday activity at Kirkstall Abbey. From 1st – 16th April, look around the ruins for rainbow, gingham and polka dot flocks! See if you can spot them all in this fun family trail.

5. Easter Holidays at Thwaite Watermill
Plan your school holiday trip to Thwaite this Easter from 1st-16th April and take part in our wildlife themed family activities. Play Bird Bingo and see if you can spot our resident feathered friends, decorate your own bird box in time for spring, and spot wildlife on our live camera.
Grab an Easter trail to follow and get creative with arts and craft activities too.

6. Wildlife Explorers at Leeds Industrial Musuem
Come to Leeds Industrial Museum from 1st – 16th April and see if you can spot the wildlife that has wandered into the mill. Take part in this fun family trail around the museum this Easter. Included in the price of admission.
There are also some wet felting workshops taking place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. All including in the price of admission.

7. Teeny Tiny Animal Trail at Leeds City Museum
Find the miniature 3D models of some of our favourite animals in the museum from 1st – 16th April. Where are the panda, sloth and their friends hiding? Free family trail, suitable for playgroups and holiday club visits too.
There is also some kids crafts taking place on certain dates, creating pictures of animals as they try to escape the museum cabinets…. Free, drop in. If you’re a holiday club/playgroup please get in touch by email to let us know you’re visiting.

There’s loads to enjoy at Harewood this Easter! During the Easter Holidays, discover the amazing story of how Red Kites were reintroduced to Harewood, with kite-making workshops and outdoor activities to reconnect children and families with nature.
Get crafty and create your very own kite to fly! Or why not find the giant eggs hidden around Harewood for a chance to win a delicious chocolatey prize!

9. Mission Out
Spend a day in the great outdoors and explore their awesome active zones – including The Jump Pillow, The High Ropes, The Carousel, The Adventure Golf Course and so much more! They have also introduced a High Ropes upgrade ticket at an additional charge with a designated time slot you can choose to avoid lengthy queues, giving you more time to make epic memories at Mission Out.

10. School Holidays at Tropical World
Embark on an unforgettable journey through our newly refurbished Rainforest Canopy and meet the NEW animals in their NEW home, from the Porcupines, to the Argentine Black and White Tegu; the largest species of the ‘tegu’ lizards, to the new Pygmy Marmoset; the world’s smallest monkey; and the Emperor Tamarins a species of monkey known for their long, exquisite moustaches.
