Funky Jives Intergenerational Sessions

The Funky Jives regular classes are fun movement to music and dance sessions using a variety of dance props (pom poms, scarves, ribbons, maracas, handbells and hoops).

In addition to the regular classes, Funky Jives also runs FREE monthly inter-generational events. These mixed generation sessions bring young children and care home residents together to celebrate each other and enjoy music, movement, stories, songs and craft together.

Tea and Tots at The Grove in South Milford
Monthly on Tuesdays: 1st Oct, 5th Nov, 3rd Dec 2019,
1.30pm-3pm
This session involves half an hour of music and movement and a chance to chat, play and have tea/coffee and snacks (provided). Babies up to 5 years.
No need to book for Tea and Tots, just turn up.

Movement to music at Augustus Court, Garforth
Monthly on Thursdays: 17th Oct, 14th Nov, 12th Dec 2019
10.45am-11.15am
Movement to music, songs, stories and crafts, aimed at under-5s. Juice and biscuits are provided but feel free to bring your own.
Pre-booking required for Augustus Court sessions, as places are limited.

Buns & Roses Women’s Institute

Buns & Roses meet on the third Thursday of the month at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Leeds. Meetings vary from inspiring guest speakers to crafty get-togethers with the odd cake and cocktail thrown in for good measure! Garforth Townswomen’s Guild

The Guild meets in Halliday Court (just off Main Street) on the second Thursday of each month, when we enjoy talks and demonstrations (not to mention tea and biscuits!) Garforth Women’s Institute

Garforth WI is held at Firthfields Community Centre at 8pm on the third Tuesday of every month. Women of all ages are welcome to create a group of various interests and hobbies. Sign up to attend regularly or pay as you go for up to three meetings per year as visitor.

Leeds Dads

Swillington Garden Growers

Community supported agriculture scheme based in the historic Georgian Walled Garden at Swillington Organic Farm. Sign up to an annual veg box subscription and come along on a Saturday to help with the growing and get your hands dirty in the garden. Children get to help out with the planting at the monthly Kids Club.

The Hunslet Club

The Hunslet Club delivers a range of activities to children and young people aged from 18 months to 25 years. Regular weekly classes include gymnastics, boxing, football, rugby, dance, hip hop, cheer dance, majorettes, drama, ballet and tap.
