Spooky Skeletons Trail at Lotherton
Visit Lotherton this October half term and follow the spooky skeletons trail around the estate and into the haunted house!
Dress up in your best Halloween costume and prepare to be scared as you explore the woods and seek out all of the skeletons who have made Lotherton their home. Don’t miss the Nocturnal House in Wildlife World to see our bats in action! Bring your little ones along for a great day out during the school holidays with plenty of spooky surprises along the way.

Creepy Crawlies Trail at Nostell
Set out on a fun family trail around the gardens of Nostell as we search under rocks and logs on a hunt for creepy crawlies in the gardens. Continue your hunt for creepy crawlies in the house and get a close look at some of the creepy pests that cause damage to old houses like Nostell.

Harewood Sculpture Trail
Follow the sculpture trail and discover how to spot a witch, show off your best werewolf howl or even find out more about how giants shaped the Yorkshire Landscape.
Then meet Robin Goodfellow, the fairy that inspired Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Full of mischief and mirth and a very bad example to children!
A perfect outdoor adventure that will blow away the halloween cobwebs.
Haunted Halloween Hunt at Kirkstall Abbey
Head to Kirkstall Abbey this October half term for a Haunted Halloween Hunt in a spectacularly spooky setting!
The family trail will take you around the ruined medieval abbey and along the way you will find plenty of creepy creatures, spooky statues and peculiar props.
Not too spooky so suitable for all the family!
If it is your first visit, please remember to bring your ID as proof of Leeds residency to get a free annual pass to the abbey.
For non-Leeds residents there is a small one-off annual charge to visit the ruins, which gives you a pass to visit for 12 months.

If you’re looking for a day out somewhere, why not try this glamping site at Flixton, near Scarborough, which has a Spooky Trail in the Yorkshire Wolds countryside! You can look out for wildlife as well as scary sights, with a short and long version to choose from.
The event is open to the public on 14th, 15th, 18th, 21st, 22nd and 25th October 2023, and daily during half term 28th October to 4th November 2023
