Cast your mind back to when you found out you were going to be a parent for the first time. The nerves, the excitement. The antenatal appointments, scans and various trips to see nurses, midwives and doctors. Then the birth itself. And your post natal appointments too….
Did you have a good experience or a bad one? If you have more than one child, did you see any differences for each pregnancy and birth? Were there any times you were disappointed, upset or worse? Is there anything you would want to be done differently in future?
What aspects of maternity and neonatal care are most important to you? Where would you like your appointments and births in future to take place?
There are changes planned to the way maternity and neonatal services are delivered in Leeds. Your input as a parent is vital to make sure they meet your needs.

The consultation running from now until April and is being organised by Leeds CCG. They’re asking for parents, expectant parents, members of the public and staff to get involved and have your say. You don’t have to have used Leeds maternity and neonatal services to have your say.
There are two ways to get involved:
(a) Drop-in event – Wednesday 11 March 2020, 4pm-8pm
This will be a welcoming, family-friendly and informal event, with refreshments, activities for children and a chance to meet and talk to the professionals who deliver the services, ask questions and find out more about the changes. Romanian, Arabic, Tigrinian and BSL translators at this event. At Carriageworks Auditorium, 3 Millennium Square, Leeds, LS2 3AD.
(b) Online Survey
Currently all women’s notes are only accessed at scanning and community appointments. Their handheld notes have been replaced with a booklet with key information and a coop card before the digital scheme is rolled out fully. Expectant and new parents will be soon able to access their full notes through their devices. The transition to digital has already begun. In the meantime Leeds would like your views in person or online on this survey.
You can give your views in person or online:
