Bring your family to the Toddle4CF fundraiser fun on 13 August

When Amélie was three-and-a-half weeks old, she was diagnosed with a life-limiting condition for which there is no cure: Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis is a chronic, life-shortening condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. Amélie undergoes a gruelling daily routine of physiotherapy, will be on medication for the rest of her life and currently has a 50% chance of dying before reaching age 30.

Luckily the Cystic Fibrosis Trust exists to fund research to treat and cure CF, and to support families like Amélie’s. Last year, Amélie contracted pseudomonas, a dangerous bug that is potentially fatal for CF sufferers. However, with the help of her CF unit and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, she was been able to beat it, this time.

The Toddle4CF 2019 Fundraiser in Drighlington on Tuesday

To help the Cystic Fibrosis Trust continue it’s vital work, Amélie’s mum Natasha is organising an exciting and action-packed fundraising event next week. Toddle4CF 2019 will take place on Tuesday 13 August at Drighlington ARLFC from 10am-1pm.

Families from across Leeds and beyond are invited to join in an array of exciting activities and be in with a chance of winning some incredible raffle prizes!

FREE on-the-day activities on the pitch will include:

• Mini-fit warm up provided by Mini me time – Bradford & Leeds
• Toddle around the rugby pitch completing various tasks including Tumblebees gymnastics challenges
• Little Legs Rugby taster sessions
  Taster sessions with Youth Leader Fitness for age 3+
• Meet and have photos taken with unicorns provided by M.E Miniatures
• Space hopper races

At 11.30am, the event will move into the rugby club, where participants will be treated to a FREE buffet lunch courtesy of Morrisons, Tesco and Asda. BBQ hot dogs and burgers will be provided by Topcliffe Grange Farm Shop for a small charge, plus cupcakes from Bespoke Bakes By Lindsay.

Toddlers will have a meet and greet with Chase from Paw Patrol and Toy Story’s Woody, kindly supplied by Party People Yorkshire, as they collect their voucher for a free play session at the newly refurbished and opened Little Scallywags.

There will also be a raffle with an INCREDIBLE list of prizes, including:

• Multiple family passes to destinations like FUNZY, JUMP INC UK Trampoline Parks (Leeds), Cannon Hall Farm, LaserZone Castleford, Xplore, Krazy Kidz, Adrenaline International Trampoline & Soft Play Centre, Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf Leeds, Splash Zone pass for KAL Leisure Trust and a 241 wristband for Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Participants are asked to wear something yellow and pay a suggested donation of £5 per family. Raising sponsorship money is encouraged and sponsor forms can be downloaded from the Cystic Fibrosis Trust website. Paper copies will also be made available at the event.

All participants that are able to pay the suggested donation will receive a raffle ticket, with extra raffle tickets also available to buy at Drighlington Rugby Club, Cutting Beauty and via Toddle4CF.
