Sling Swing is an enjoyable dance session for parents and their little ones from new borns to preschoolers. Gentle dance sessions aim to bring parents together whilst having fun with their little ones. Refreshments are provided as well as some slings/carriers so do not worry if you don’t have one! Babies and children love being close to their parents and feeling/listening to the rhythms of music.
Katherine always wanted to take her daughter Faye to Sling Swing classes but the nearest was over 30 minutes drive away. After months of searching and discussion about similar classes in her area she decided to set up Sling Swing classes in Garforth and Tadcaster. Her daughter Faye enjoys dancing alongside her and also a cuddle and snooze in the sling whilst mummy dances.
If you also have a toddler, don’t worry you are welcome to bring them along. We have some child slings that they can wear and dance along too!
Beanie Boppers are dance classes for toddlers and preschoolers. They incorporate dance, with and without props, parachute fun, songs and bubbles.

The Daisy Foundation: Garforth, Selby and Tadcaster offers a range of antenatal classes and baby classes near Leeds and York. Current venues include Garforth and Monk Fryston.
The range of antenatal classes and baby classes offered includes Daisy Birthing, Active Birth Workshops, Parent classes, Breastfeeding Workshops, Daisy Baby Tinies and Daisy Baby Wrigglers.
Daisy Birthing classes combine yoga-based movement, antenatal and active birth education, breathing techniques, relaxation and peer-to-peer support. We aim to help you to learn your antenatal education and active birth techniques in a truly effective way.
Our Active Birth Workshop is a relaxed antenatal class where each couple gains knowledge and understanding of the labour journey, and how they are able to use gravity, movement and each other to prepare for birth.
Covering all things birth AND baby, our Parent classes run for 12 hours (over 6 weekday evenings) and are for couples to attend together. We cover everything you need to know about labour and birth, and then in the second half cover all things baby care – from those early few hours with your newborn, to all the many choices / decisions you need to make as they grow – from bathing, changing and feeding, through to safety and parenting choices.
Lastly, in terms of antenatal offerings, our Breastfeeding Workshop is designed to support expectant parents in their understanding and expectations of breastfeeding their baby. The workshop covers: benefits of breastfeeding; the first hour; anatomy and physiology; hunger cues; positioning and attachment; the first 10 days; expressing milk; and challenges.
Daisy Baby Tinies is our integrated class for mum and baby where baby massage, baby yoga, baby reflexology and calming techniques are delivered alongside educational themes which will be relevant to the babies’ developmental milestones. Suitable from around 6 weeks to 4 months.
Daisy Baby Wrigglers is the natural progression from Tinies and combines baby yoga alongside story, rhythm, rhyme and sensory play for babies from 4/5months through to 10 months
An Antenatal Breastfeeding Workshop is designed to support expectant parents in their preparations for, understanding of and expectations of breastfeeding their baby.
